This Privacy Policy explains how Garagi (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information when you use the Garagi mobile app (the “App”) and related services (the “Services”).
Anyone who uses the App, including people who only browse listings and people who create an account to host listings, save favorites, or use other signed-in features.
Account and sign-in. Your email address (used to send sign-in codes), a unique user id from our auth provider, and any optional profile details you add (such as a display name).
Listings. If you host a sale, we store what you submit: title; sale times; address or location text; area; description; how buyers may reach you (“contact hint”); payment methods you choose to show; photos; and map coordinates when geocoding succeeds so the listing can appear on a map.
Favorites. If you are signed in, we store which listings you saved for “My Trip.”
Location. For “Near me” and similar features, if you allow it, the App reads your current location on the device to sort or filter by distance. We do not send those live GPS coordinates to our servers for that sorting. When you save a listing, the App may send address text you entered to the device/platform geocoder to obtain latitude and longitude; those coordinates are stored with the listing and can appear on maps to others while the listing is active.
Photos. Images you choose are uploaded to our backend storage when you publish or update a listing.
Calendar. If you add a sale to your device calendar, that uses the system calendar APIs. We do not read your calendar from our servers.
Maps. Map views (for example via react-native-maps) may cause map providers to process technical data such as IP address or map area according to their own policies.
Sessions. The App stores sign-in session data on your device so you can stay logged in.
We do not use the App to collect special-category sensitive data on purpose. Do not put information in listings that you are not willing to make public.
We use it to run the Services: authentication, showing and ranking listings, maps, storing photos, sending sign-in messages through our providers, handling account deletion when you request it in the App, and protecting security and complying with law where applicable.
We use Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and server-side functions. Their terms and privacy notices apply to how they process data on our behalf:
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not give your information to others for their own marketing unless we tell you otherwise and any required consent applies.
Active listing content is meant to be visible to other users of the App (and may be visible without an account, depending on how the backend is configured). Anything you put in a listing, including address hints, contact hints, and photos, may be seen by others. You choose what to disclose.
We keep information while your account exists and as needed to operate the Services. If you delete your account in the App, we delete or disassociate your account data in line with our backend design (including listings you created, favorites, profile, and stored listing photos where applicable). Some data may linger briefly in backups or where the law requires retention.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the Services (such as encryption in transit and access controls). No system is perfectly secure.
Our providers may process and store information in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to the U.S. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, we rely on mechanisms our providers make available. Contact us if you want more detail.
You can update or remove listing content you control, sign out, and use Delete account in the App where offered. For other privacy requests, email garagi.support@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example access, correction, deletion, portability, or complaint to a regulator). We will respond in line with applicable law.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have information from a child, email garagi.support@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
The App may link to third-party sites or open your email or maps apps. Those services have their own policies.
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top. For important changes, we may also give notice in the App. Continued use after the update may mean you accept the new policy where the law allows that.

These Terms govern your use of the Garagi mobile app and related services (the “Services”) provided by Garagi (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Garagi helps users find garage and yard sales and publish listings. We may change or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, safe, or lawful, or that any sale will happen.
You may need an account for some features. You agree to provide a working email for sign-in codes, keep your account secure, tell us if you suspect unauthorized use, and not abuse sign-in or try to access others’ accounts.
You keep ownership of content you submit (“User Content”). You give Garagi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, adapt for technical reasons, display, and distribute User Content only to run, improve, and promote the Services, including showing listings to others and carrying out account deletion.
You are responsible for your User Content and for obeying the law (including rules about sales, taxes, permits, and prohibited items). You represent that you have the right to post the addresses, photos, and text you upload.
You may not use the Services to break the law, infringe others’ rights, post false or fraudulent listings, harass or threaten anyone, spread malware, break into our systems or anyone else’s data, or overload or scrape the Services except through interfaces we explicitly provide.
We may remove content or suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk, with or without notice.
Map and location features are for convenience only. Pins and distances may be approximate. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish.
Garagi is only a discovery tool. We are not a party to deals between buyers and sellers. Meetings and payments are at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garagi is not responsible for injury, loss, theft, disputes, crime, or any other harm from interactions between users or from attending sales.
The App, branding, and our materials (other than your User Content) belong to Garagi or its licensors. Do not copy or misuse them except as the law allows.
If you believe material in the Services infringes your copyright, send a detailed notice to garagi.support@gmail.com. Under U.S. law, formal DMCA safe harbor often also requires registering a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office; review current rules or speak with counsel if you rely on safe harbor.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Garagi disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that defects will be corrected. No advice or information you get from us or through the Services creates any warranty not stated here.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. If a court holds that any part of this section is unenforceable, the rest still applies to the maximum extent permitted, and our liability is limited to the minimum amount the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Garagi and its owners and contractors against claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
You may stop using the Services anytime. You may delete your account in the App where that feature exists. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for operational reasons. Sections that should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms lies in the state and federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may change these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Services after changes take effect, that may mean you accept the new Terms where the law allows. If you disagree, stop using the Services.
